New Addition // Plaster (Kvitnu / Stroboscopic Artefacts)

For bookings: jef@methlab-agency.com

Our aim with MethLab is to represent electronic music across multiple genres, with our most important thread being that the artists we support all relentlessly experiment and push the boundaries of their respective styles. It is in their nature to experiment and to play with all of the possibilities that music affords the creators. So that we now have a remarkable experimental Techno due in the form of Italian bred 'Plaster' on our roster gives us deep pleasure. With 2 of their tracks appearing on the highly influential and meticulously constructed Stroboscopic Artefacts label within their 'Stellate' series, and a further upcoming dedicated release on the 'Monad' series (previously featuring Kangding Ray, Lucy and Tommy Four Seven); Plaster represent one of the acts at the forefront of darkly experimental and textural Techno and Ambient music. Their rapid rise has just begun, and you can expect to see them at shows and festivals around Europe in the coming years.

Particularly awesome are their fully AV shows, which blend a style of visuals entirely suited to their dystopian sound. Both abstract and sultry, their darkly psychadelic style has the feeling of being both minimal and yet vast and expansive at the same time. Check the Youtube playlist below to get an idea of what we mean...

BIO    ://

Plaster is an electronic music project that came into existence in Rome in 2008. Formed by Gianclaudio Hashem Moniri and Giuseppe Carlini; this duo’s love of sound both complex and texturally unique. Plaster's music is mostly characterized by a sultry attitude, aiming to mix ambient music, deep beats and sharp angular noise. Their technique is attuned towards balancing rough sonic textures to the depth of the audio landscape, with each sound engineered to be starkly appealing, but also to hold great depth which can be interpreted and delved into as stories in themselves. Following a number of releases on the exploratory Kvitnu label, their path to date has culminated in releases on the highly respected Stroboscopic Artefacts label – one of the most pioneering Techno and Ambient labels around today. Their first appearance was through the Stellate compilation alongside Dadub, Roll The Dice and Silent Servant, releasing 2 tracks of pure heavy explorations of texture. A subsequent dedicated release on the acclaimed Monad series has reaffirmed Plaster as being truly a new pioneer of darkly ambient textural Techno.

Plaster are available for a full AV set, which has previously graced the infamous Berghain Kantine, or alternatively for their audio only live sets that have successfully astounded audiences around the globe in warehouses, deserts and festivals.
